On the last day of the event, educational sessions, hands-on labs and much more are still taking place. For me, it was my last day in Vegas so I didn’t have much time, but I couldn’t miss the VMware Community Panel: Level Up Your Career Through Community Participation [VIB2959LV].
Session was presented by heads of VMware Communities:

- Corey Romero @vExpert
- Franky Barragan @vFrankyB
During the session, we learned how to join vExpert or Tanzu Vanguard programs. We discovered where and how to start, whether it’s through blogging, podcasts, videos, or other activities. We got to know the heads of the VMware community and realized that they are fantastic individuals, also community members themselves, who are eager to assist in becoming part of the community.
We had the opportunity to discuss potential enhancements or improvements to VMware Communities programs like vExpert or Tanzu Vanguard. Through an open discussion, we exchanged opinions and shared experiences, while also expressing our viewpoints on the kind of collaboration that community members anticipate with VMware.
It was a fantastic, important, and also emotional session that allowed everyone to express themselves and their opinions – their unique approaches to participating in the community. Expressing oneself isn’t always easy, not everyone knows where to begin, what content to do and where search for inspirations. Being part of a community means connecting and surrounding oneself with individuals who share similar interests, a positive attitude, and a willingness to assist at all times.
After the session, it was time to check out of the hotel and head to the airport for the long 18-hour journey home.
VMware Explore 2023 Las Vegas was an extraordinary event, an unforgettable journey and experience. The time will come for a thorough summary, meanwhile I wish all participants a safe travels home and hope to see you next year!
